My name is Michelle Cox, and I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia in 2012, at the very young age of 26. To say it has totally changed my life around, is an understatement. Fibromyalgia has always been thought of as an “older person” disease, but many times it affects people in their 20’s and 30’s, and goes misdiagnosed. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to educate the public and coach people through their diagnosis and gaining their life back.
A lot of people look at me and say “But you don’t look sick! You do so much, there’s no way you are in constant pain.” While my pain levels have definitely gotten better over the years thanks to some tricks, products, and other natural wellness solutions, YES – I am still in pain! But you can’t live your life constantly hiding from your pain. I was on medications for a long time – almost 6 years while trying to find the balance of what was working for me naturally. The key is this – not one solution will work for everyone. And trust me – I’ve tried a LOT of things that didn’t work. Every body is different. People will react differently to certain meds, stimuli, and situations. This is what makes Fibromyalgia unique.
For example, I was on a non-traditional Fibromyalgia medication that the main usage was to treat seizures. My doctors felt that medication was the best fit for me, and it was working out very well for me for several years. The main reason I went off the medication was because the side effects were starting to outweigh the benefits and my health changes over time, and my doctors and I made the decision to stop that medication.
Time for a change?
If you feel like you’re ready to take things to the next level – start gaining your energy back, start gaining your life back – then I have a few products that would be a good fit for you! PLEASE NOTE: The information provided on this site is intended for your general knowledge only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment for specific medical conditions. Please consult your healthcare provider with any questions or concerns you may have regarding your condition.
I know, I know. You hear the term thrown around so much it’s become a bit grating to you. So why is this important? Many people see Fibromyalgia as an autoimmune disorder. Since the majority of your immunity is found in your gut, it’s important to take care of it the best you know how! If your nutrition is lacking (hello, fast food and sugar), then you’ll want to try these products to help balance your gut health. Please remember- nothing beats a well balanced diet – but these products are intended to help you get there! Paradise ORAC-Energy Earth’s Blend is GREAT and multifunctional – Pobiotic, greens, and minerals all in one capsule! Check it out here:
Another item that has helped me immensely is Arbonne’s Digestion Plus. Ever since my diagnosis with Fibromyalgia, I’ve had IBS (which is a common co-morbidity in Fibro). Digestion Plus eases the symptoms of IBS, and keeps me on a more regular track. What I love best about the company is they are vegan certified, scientifically backed and clinically tested. You can check out Digestion Plus here (NOTE: I am an affiliate with this company)
When you’re in constant pain, your energy is low. I’ve even had days when I need a nap after I take a shower! Being in chronic pain takes it’s toll on you physically, emotionally, and mentally. Thankfully, I’ve been using two products to help gain that energy back so I can continue to try and live a “normal” life. This CellFood product has definitely improved my energy levels – I like to take mine first thing in the morning to get my day started right:
Arbonne’s Energy Fizz Sticks are PERFECT for my afternoon pick me up. On long days – these things are my saving grace! Again, Arbonne is vegan certified, and the caffeine you get is a combination of green tea and guarana, and ginseng with B vitamins and CoQ10. It has less caffeine than a cup of coffee, and slight bubbles to help wake up those senses! You can check it out here: (NOTE: I am an affiliate with this company)
I’m sure you’ve all seen the Lyrica commercials if you live in the United States – “Fibromyalgia is thought to caused by overactive nerves.” So what does one do for nerve pain? I can tell you from experience taking an over the counter pain reliever won’t work for nerve pain. Muscle pain, yes, but not nerves. You can find prescription drugs that may work, like I did back in 2012. Then I switched to an all natural Muscle Pain Gel and fell in love! This is GREAT to use on your Fibromyalgia Pressure Points, a sore muscle or joint, etc. But BE CAREFUL! A little goes a VERY long way – so use sparingly! Have any questions about these products? Feel free to comment or reach out to me! I would love to help you find something that will work for you and what you are trying to accomplish. While there are many supplements and products on the market, please be sure to consult with your healthcare provider to make sure there are no medication interactions.
